Do you have a Scrabble game at home. It's one of my favorites. It's a fun game to play and I love that you can borrow the tiles for all sorts of other reasons. It seemed only natural to grab them and use them to practice our spelling words.

To set-up: You need your spelling list and the tiles from a Scrabble game (or a Bananagram game). This is another activity (like many of these spelling activities) that needs no set up.
One by one, have your child go through their list and spell their words using Scrabble tiles. When they're done, they can push the letters aside and move on to the next word.
Special note: While it's fun to try to make as many words as possible before mixing the letters into the pile again, chances are you'll run out of tiles before getting through an entire spelling list.
Use your Scrabble tiles to make spelling word practice fun. What are some other ways you've used these letter tiles?
